Michelle Martinez, owner of The Bagel Bakery and Cupcake Shoppe and Anythink Café caterer, was awarded Small Business Person of the Year by the Metro North Chamber of Commerce at their Jan. 28 gala event.

According to a chamber press release, “Martinez was recognized for her continuous support of Chamber programs that help encourage business development efforts. Martinez’s entrepreneurial spirit carries into her work with the Chamber as she demonstrates best business practices in maximizing her partnership with the Chamber.”

Martinez and her staff began managing the Anythink Café early last month. Since then, the café has been extremely popular among library customers and students from the nearby schools.

“Kudos to Michelle for winning the Small Business Person of the Year award,” says Anythink director Pam Sandlian Smith. “Michelle Martinez is a whirling dervish – it seems like she is in three places at once. Michelle and her crew have quickly become part of our Anythink family, and the Anythink café has become a huge hit after being open just a few short weeks.”

The Anythink Café is located in the Anythink Wright Farms library, 5877 E. 120th Ave., Thornton, CO 80602. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 9:30 am-7:30 pm; Friday and Saturday, 9:30 am-4:30 pm; and Sunday, 1-4 pm.
