Rangeview Library District The County Commissioners approved a resolution on December 15, 2003, creating a library district. The Adams County Library System merged into the new Library District on January 1, 2004. A new governing Board of Trustees for the District was appointed by the County Commissioners on February 11, 2004. The new Board of Trustees meets the third Wednesday of every month. Board Member Biographies Ray Coffey: He has worked for the state of Colorado since 1985 in finance and auditing. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Colorado State University in Technical Journalism and took courses in business and accounting from Metro State College. He passed the CPA exam in 1987. Ray has been a professional ski patroller and a private contractor. He feels public libraries are very important to a free society. Kin Griffith: He is currently the Executive Director of the Colorado Virtual Academy. Before that, he was Executive Director of the Academy of Charter Schools. He has extensive experience in business and finance. He has earned a Bachelors in Accounting, an MBA and a Masters in Economics, all from the University of Colorado. Kin has served on several state committees dealing with education and charter schools. Presently he serves on the Cyberschool Advisory Committee, appointed by the state Commissioner of Education. Kin was a member of the Adams County Library System Board of Trustees and brings continuity and experience to the new board. Dorothy Lindsey: She taught in District 27 J schools for 30 years and is now retired. She has served on a credit union supervisory committee and on the Board of Directors for an arts council. Dorothy enjoys golf and has served as president of a woman's golf association. She has a passion for literacy. Debra Neiswonger: She recently received a Masters of Education and Elementary Education Teaching Certification from Regis University. She has a Masters in History from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology with a minor in Speech Communication from Metro State College. Debra has worked in business and government. She has worked for the Colorado State Library in the State Publications Library and for the Colorado State Historical Society in the Stephen H. Hart Library. Debra has worked as a volunteer in her church and with the 4-H organization. She has a love of books and learning. She believes that libraries play a crucial role in assisting herself and others to learn and gain a deeper understanding of the world. Kay Riddle: She currently works part-time for a non-profit foundation. She has worked for the Adams County Library in the past in circulation and reference. She also was the Audio-visual librarian for the Adams County Library. Kay has been actively involved in politics, serving as an executive director and a National Committeewomen from Colorado. She has also served on an action committee. Kay has been a member of the the National Commission on Library and Information Science. She has been serving on the Adams County Library System Board of Trustees. She will bring experience and a continuity to the new board.
