Children in elementary school are invited to read to our wonderful dog volunteers. They join us on the third Saturday of each month. This is an excellent program for children who are learning to read or need practice reading. Our patient dogs love to listen and they never criticize. Growing Vegetables on the Eastern Plains

How’s your green thumb?  Need some tips on gardening?  Join plant expert Jeri Cretti as she helps us plant, care for and harvest a successful vegetable garden.  Topics will include: protecting plants against the elements, appropriate plants for each season and plants that can be replanted.  Attendees will leave with a vegetable plant that they have repotted in class.  We will also have a raffle of the raised planting bed, but you must be present to win.
